Paths to joining the IBEW

APPRENTICESHIP:

Our five-year apprenticeship for Inside Wireman (electrician), and three-year apprenticeship for Sound and Communications Installer (low-voltage/data-comm) are the best in the industry. Our Apprenticeship programs are free to the individual becasue the cost is built into the overall wage package our employers pay.  This means that our Apprentices have the best electrical training program without the worries or student loans.  You will be paid while working for our employers all the while attending classes and doing homework.  A true "earn while you learn" opportunity.

The apprenticeship can be reached at (559)251-5174, or at http://www.fresnojatc.org.

FOR EXPERIENCED ELECTRICIANS and LOW VOLTAGE INSTALLERS:

There are several ways to join the IBEW. Please contact Dave Clark at (559)470-5700 or dclark@ibew100.org

Journeyman Electricians currently are paid $40/hr plus whole family medical and pension contributions.  We also offer a wide variety of Journeyman upgrade classes at our training center. Conduit bending, motor controls, instrumentation, solar, NEC code, PLCs, Title 24 and VFDs just to name a few.  Since we are a state approved school, all class time is also applicable for continuing education hours credit for the CA state electrician's certification. All Journeyman upgrade classes are free.  The cost is paid for by employers and is part of the overall package.

FOR CONTRACTORS:

If you are an employer or soon will be and are interested in becoming signatory with us, or just want more information, please feel free to call the office at (559) 251-8241. Business Manager Ronny Jungk, Assistant Business Manager Jake Piland or Organizer Dave Clark will be happy to answer any questions. You can also contact Dave Clark directly at (559) 470-5700 or via email at dclark@ibew100.org.  We can also put you in touch with some of our existing employers so that you can get information from another owner's perspective.

The IBEW has implemented several new programs to help make our contractors more competitive, and with our highly skilled and efficient workforce, and free training available to your current employees, we can help make you more profitable and expand into new markets.
